Replacing the Loading Buoys

A total of 2.55 billion barrels of oil have flowed through the two loading buoys that served the Gullfaks field, but in the spring and summer of 2014 the buoys were dismantled, brought ashore, and scrapped.

As a replacement, a new system – to the Gullfaks field – was installed.
